FESTIVAL: Bridge of Aloha festival celebrates Hawaiian culture May 30

The Bridge of Aloha festival will be held 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at Ferndale Events Center, 5715 Barrett Road, to honor the Hawaiian culture and connect with other cultural groups in the Northwest.

The event is sponsored by Northwest Hawai’i ’Ohana, a nonprofit group working to share the aloha spirit in Whatcom and Skagit counties. Each year the organization offers a post-secondary educational scholarship for children of people from Hawai’i, in addition to two cultural scholarships to its members.

Tickets are $12 general, $10 students and seniors, at the door and in advance through Brown Paper Tickets. Admission is free for kids 8 and younger. Details: bridgeofaloha.webs.com
