People are invited to walk the garden trails filled with blooming azaleas and rhododendrons and about 30 of the city’s permanent sculpture collection from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 10, at Big Rock Garden Park, 2900 Sylvan St.
The annual event is hosted by Friends of Big Rock Garden Park, the Bellingham Arts Commission, and Bellingham Parks and Recreation Department.
The Spinnaker Trombones perform from 1 to 3 p.m. Also, plein-air artists Louise Perram, Lyz Staman, Trish Harding, Erin Libby, Laurel Baldwin, Pat Stiles and Sherri Guiton will be painting in the park, with art sales benefiting the park.
Whatcom Poetry Series poets Luther Allen, Jim Bertolino, Anita K. Boyle, Jeni Cottrell, Caitlyn Jans, Jacob Jans, Judy Kleinberg, Andy McBride, Kate Miller, Kevin Murphy, CJ Prince and Carla Shafer will read from their works.

People should park at the Bloedel Donovan Park lot on Electric Avenue and ride the free shuttle to Big Rock. The first shuttle leaves at 12:45 p.m. Parking at Big Rock is extremely limited. Details: 360-778-7105.
