BOOKS: New book catalogs the works of Skagit County artist Guy Anderson

Deryl Walls, a graduate of Western Washington University, has owned Gallery Dei Gratia in La Conner, for 27 years. The gallery was founded to exhibit the works of pre-eminent Skagit County artist Guy Anderson, who died in 1998, and continues to make available the complete estate inventory of his works.

Walls shares the recently published “Catalogue Raisonne: The Block Prints of Guy Anderson,” at 7 p.m. Friday, May 1, at Village Books, 1200 11th St.

The comprehensive, annotated listing of all of Anderson’s known artworks is the first publication of the legendary painter’s work in 28 years, and documents the phases of his artistic process, with color images of his block prints.
