Tim Egan, a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter, New York Times columnist, National Book Award-winning author, and veteran chronicler of the West, talks about his most recent book, “Short Nights of the Shadow Catcher: The Epic Life and Immortal Photographs of Edward S. Curtis,” a biography of the famous photographer of North Americans, at 7 p.m. Monday, April 27, at Mount Baker Theatre, 104 N. Commercial St.
The book was named one of the best books of the year by Publishers Weekly, and won the 2013 Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Nonfiction.
The free event is co-sponsored by Whatcom Museum, Bellingham Public Library, and Village Books, in conjunction with the exhibit “Mingled Visions, Images from The North American Indian by Edward S.
