Whatcom Symphony Orchestra’s annual Family Concert on Sunday, April 26, at Bellingham High School, 2020 Cornwall Ave., features pre-concert activities for the kids from 1:15 to 2 p.m., including an instrument petting zoo to provide an up-close look at orchestra instrument, and a display of paintings by fourth-graders inspired by the music for the concert, “Pictures at an Exhibition” by Modest Mussorgsky, under the leadership of Bellingham artist Ben Mann.
The concert is 2 to 3 p.m., under the direction of Yaniv Attar. The concert is free for kids; suggested donation for adults is $10. Proceeds support educational music programs.
