The iDiOM Theater, 1418 Cornwall Ave., presents “Ded Reckoning: A Space Musical in Two Acts,” a new family-friendly play written by Bellingham residents Kamarie Chapman, who is on the theater and dance faculty at Western Washington University, and by longtime Bellingham musician Spencer Willows.
The show is a sci-fi musical featuring all-original songs, lighthearted and family-friendly, with a catchy, 1950s/60s-inspired soundtrack. The story deals with issues of homesickness, sibling rivalry, and what happens when you are faced with the choice between carrying out your duty and following your passion.
Curtain is 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, April 9–12, and April 16–19. Doors open at 7.
The shows on Sundays, April 12 and April 19, will feature live musical accompaniment by the house band, The Reckonaires.
