Easter isn’t until Sunday, but it appears that most of the Easter egg hunts in Whatcom County will happen Saturday, April 4. For a complete list, go to the Take Five calendar in print, under the heading of HOLIDAY, or go to calendar.bellinghamherald.com for a complete list.
For people curious about what’s probably the most unusual hunt, the Mt. Baker Golden Egg Hunt, is still scheduled for 9 a.m. sharp Saturday. The hunt features more than 4,000 eggs hidden on the slopes of Mt. Baker Ski Area.
There are separate hunts divided by age group. Smaller kids will find sugar-free jelly beans, some with coins. All kids participating receive a prize and special egg hunt shirt.
The all-ages hunt has multiple prizes, with the grand prize of a Mt. Baker Ski Area season pass for next season. The all-ages hunt requires a valid lift ticket or season chairlift pass. Kids hunts are free; no lift ticket or pass required.
