WORKSHOP: Procession of the Species costume workshop

Make your Procession of Species Parade costume with Carol Oberton in a free workshop from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at Deming Library, 5044 Mount Baker Highway.

The workshop will inspire the creative use of materials, provide examples for building your own large puppets, and help people make masks and accessories.

Participants are encouraged to bring old sweatshirts, hoodies, ball caps, bike helmets, or other clothing as a base for their costume. Other materials will be provided.

The Procession of the Species Parade takes place May 2, starting on Lottie Street between Bellingham Public Library and City Hall, and proceeding to Maritime Heritage Park for live entertainment and other activities.
