MUSIC: Seattle trio joins Whatcom Symphony in concert Sunday, March 29, at Mount Baker Theatre

Three soloists from Seattle Symphony — principal cellist Efe Baltacigil, associate concertmaster Emma McGrath, and pianist Jessica Choe — join Whatcom Symphony Orchestra, performing Beethoven’s Triple Concerto in C major, op. 56, at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at Mount Baker Theatre, 104 N. Commercial St.

The program closes with Sibelius’ riveting Second Symphony, celebrating the composer’s 150th anniversary.

Ed Rutschman presents a pre-concert lecture in the theater’s Encore Room one hour prior to the concert. Admission to the lecture is free, but seating is limited.

Tickets are $33 and $39; purchase any adult ticket and receive a free teen ticket for students 12 to 17.
