EVENT: It’s a dog’s life at annual Kids’ Dog Show in Bellingham

Bellingham Parks and Recreation Department hosts the 33rd annual Kids’ Dog Show, an event for mutts, hounds, purebreds, pound puppies and fancy pooches, on Saturday, March 21, at Bloedel Donovan Multipurpose Room, 2214 Electric Ave. (note change of date from the Winter Leisure Guide).

Registration is at 10 a.m.; judging is at 10:30.

Kids in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to bring their dogs to compete in such categories as longest ears, best trick and best costumed pair. Kids can have their portraits painted with their pups, learn some grooming and care tips, and meet some new dog friends.
