REI is offering its popular free “Bike Maintenance Basics” from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at the outdoors outfitter’s retail store in Sehome Village shopping center, near Samish Way and Bill McDonald Parkway.
Participants will learn to conduct routine maintenance, such as how to lube a chain, fix a flat tire and make other minor adjustments to your bicycle. Bring a pen and notebook, but not your bike. Class would be appropriate for children who can listen actively for an hour.
Registration is limits to 40; with 18 spots open earlier this week.
To register, call 360-647-8955 or go online to rei.com/stores/bellingham.html and scroll down to the class listings.
