Western Washington University’s Humans vs. Zombies Club will hold a special event in Viking Union on Friday, Feb. 27. During the night, the VU will be full of zombies and it’s up to teams of humans to “clear” the building floor-by-floor.
The event is free for Western students and community members and runs from 10 p.m. Friday to to 2 a.m. Saturday. Small teams of humans can register together at the event.
The Underground Coffeehouse (VU 350) will be open as the staging area, and snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Past experience with WWU Humans vs. Zombies’ games or with building-clear events is not required.
For safety reasons, the club urges players to only bring allowed Nerf blasters, and to stow them and additional gear on their way to and from the event. It will be after dark, making it easier for the gear and blasters to be misidentified by the public.

The club operates in close coordination with campus administration and University Police. The collaboration establishes rules, game restrictions, and the approval of Nerf blasters used in the game. To learn the allowed arsenal and rules of the game, go to http://wwuhumansvszombies.com/arsenal.php.
Any questions, comments or concerns can be conveyed to moderators in person (wearing green armbands), or emailed to the club at email@example.com.
