Event: Gar LaSalle shares his novel based on a Whidbey Island murder

Gar LaSalle reads from his historical fiction novel “Widow Walk” at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, at Villlage Books, 1200 11th St.

“Widow Walk” is based on real events surrounding the revenge murder of Isaac Ebey, a prominent citizen who lived on Whidbey Island in the mid-1800s.

LaSalle’s indie-awarding-winning book combines his love of regional history with the compelling story of a woman’s determination to find her son after he is kidnapped by her husband’s killer.
