Alexandra Fuller, whose new memoir is “Leaving Before the Rains Come,” is the guest Wednesday, Feb. 4, for the Chuckanut Radio Hour at Whatcom Community College’s Heiner Center Theater, 237 W. Kellogg Road.
Fuller takes on the rise and fall of her marriage and addresses how her father shaped her view of the world. In the hope of understanding what went wrong and finding ways to rebuild her life after a painful divorce, she turns to her African past for answers.
Fuller is the author of “Don’t Let’s Go to the Dogs Tonight” and “Cocktail Hour Under the Tree of Forgiveness.”
Musical guest is instrumentalist and singer Chad Petersen.
