Music: Longtime musician Bob Caloca performs at the Star Club

Singer, songwriter and guitarist Bob Caloca, a former member of The Association, Strawberry Alarm Clock, Spiral Staircase, Pure Prairie League, and Old Friends (who opened for Elvis Presley), performs with Bellingham bass and guitarist Dan Cowan at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at the Star Club, 311 E. Holly St. There’s no cover.

Caloca has performed in most major venues in the U.S., including Madison Square Garden, the Greek Theatre, the Hanford Pavillion, and Red Rocks, as well as major festivals, including Chicago fest, Milwaukee fest, and the Orlando Kool jazz festival

His studio career includes composing and recording with George Harrison Ry Cooder, Leon Russell, Albert Lee and Richard Manwarring, among others.
