Olio Artshow features art, poetry and music at Whatcom Museum’s Old City Hall

Olio Media Group hosts a night of wonder with local music, visual poetry, art and more at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, at Whatcom Museum’s Old City Hall, 121 Prospect St., hosted by Sean Sullivan.

Guests should wear formal attire: black and white, silver and gold — masquerade masks are encouraged and available for purchase. There will be a best-dressed competition with grand prizes for one male and one female, and a free photobooth to capture the evening. There’s also an Olio Merch table with fun goodies, and a silent auction to support the organization.

Visitors will see creative works by Jaya Laugharn, Jacenta Twofeathers, Asha Bastis, Thayne Yazzie, Maia Anne, Crystal Hawk, Charlie Griffith, Andy Siebert, Hannah Rivers, Hannah Hayes, Nathan Waterstreet, Bonnie Smerdon and Katy Bentz.

Vendors include Angela Downard with nifty “Lilly Gurl” jewelry; Julianne Marx with butterfly wings and henna magic; Jacob Charles with crystal wraps; Lori Everett with healing sprays; Michael Sterling with energy healing; Cat Carnell with Sea Witch Botanicals; and Chelle Beautiful face and body painting.

Performers include Bellingham Rendezvous; Carrie Bieber accompanied by Steven Pitzer; Sam Chue; Thayne Yazzie; Jeremy Frasard; Katie Gray; and Alex Campos. All ages welcome. Admission is $5.
