Skagit Opera presents a fundraiser concert version of Mozart’s beloved opera “Die Zauberflote” (“The Magic Flute”) at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, at Lairmont Manor, 405 Fieldston Road, in Bellingham.
The genius of Mozart shines brightly in his final opera. From stratispherically high coloratura to foundation-rattling bass, “The Magic Flute” blends myth, magic and glorious music to deliver the life-affirming message that love conquers all. Champagne and dessert will follow the performance.
Cast: Stephen Rumph, Christina Kowalski, Jordan McClellan, Sarah Mattox, Paul Gauger, Serena Eduljee, Courtney Ruckman and Jonathan Silvia.
Cost: $50; general seating with the exception of donors, who have the option of sitting in the first few rows. Tickets can be purchased by sending a check to: Skagit Opera, P.O. Box 1756, Mount Vernon, WA 98273.
There will be no formal tickets issued but your name will be at will-call. Upon arriving, you can select your seat and, if you have donated, you will be given a pass to gain access to the front rows. All seats are first come, first serve. Details: skagitopera.org.
