‘A Rower’s Heart: Reflections on Life, Rowing, and Everything that Really Matters’ talk at Bellingham and Ferndale libraries

Former world-class athlete and noted wilderness rower Dale McKinnon reflects on her adventures, her love of the sea, and how rowing changed her life, in a talk she calls “A Rower’s Heart: Reflections on Life, Rowing, and Everything that Really Matters,” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Bellingham Public Library, 210 Central Ave., and 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at Ferndale Library, 2125 Main St.

Her free talk is one in the Whatcom Reads! series, which will culminate in February with events featuring Daniel James Brown, author of “Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Olympics.” Details: whatcomreads.org.
