Kulshan Chorus honors Robert Frost and Billy Joel, Dec. 13 at Bellingham High School

The Kulshan Chorus, directed by Dustin Willetts, presents “Joel/Frost: American Authors” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Bellingham High School, 2020 Cornwall Ave.

Billy Joel ranks as one of most popular recording artists in the world. Robert Frost has more choral arrangements set to his texts than any other poet. Both have captivated people for decades, and the chorus is excited to share a selection of their writings that celebrate their contributions to American culture.

Among them: the poems “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” and “The Road Not Taken” by Frost, and songs “This is the Time,” “Piano Man” and “Keepin’ the Faith” by Joel.

Accompanying musicians are Cary Stevens, Geeb Johnston, Mark Kelly, John Honeyman, John Honeyman and Kristy Gill.

Festival seating tickets are $16 general; $13 students, seniors and military; and $7 youths, at Village Books, Community Food Co-op and 360-650-6146. Details: kulshanchorus.org.
