Western Washington University’s Department of Theatre and Dance presents “Legally Blonde: The Musical,” a musical stage adaptation of the hit Reese Witherspoon movie, at 7:30 p.m. from Tuesday, Dec. 2, to Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Performing Arts Center Main Stage on Western’s campus. There also will be a 2 p.m. matinee Saturday, Dec. 6. Jim Lortz directs.
“Legally Blonde” is the story of a perky optimist whose perfect life is turned upside down when her boyfriend breaks up with her so he can attend Harvard Law School and pursue a career in politics. She follows him to Harvard and while struggling to fit in and do well in law school, she learns something about herself and her potential to make a positive difference in people’s lives. “Legally Blonde: The Musical” contains some mature themes.
