Mount Baker Theatre hosts annual magic show with John Walton

Magician John Walton enlivens the holidays with his annual show at Mount Baker Theatre, 104 N. Commercial St. He’s on stage at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Dec. 6 in the Walton Theatre, the space in Mount Baker that’s named for his family.

Walton won third place at the 2013 Society of American Magicians’ National Convention, where he was also the first contestant in 12 years to receive the Originality Award for his effect “Walton’s Window.”

A true lover of the art form, Walton currently holds the Guinness World Record for number of perfect shuffles in 12 hours, and has mastered many magical styles, including traditional illusions as well as more off-beat effects and feats of mentalism. His unique mix of magic and humor provides fun-filled family entertainment.
