Jazz Project hosts Brazilian vocalist Adriana Giordano

The Jazz Project hosts singer Adriana Giordano and her band, Entre Mundos, in an “Art of Jazz” concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, at Mount Baker Theatre’s Encore Room, 104 N. Commercial St.

Giordano hails from San Paulo, Brazil. Her mother is Italian and her father was Uruguayan —two cultures that helped shape her diverse taste for all sorts of music, including classical, opera, tango and folkloric music from South America, in addition to her influence of Brazilian music. She’s backed by Eric Verlinde on piano, Jeff Busch on drums and Dean Schmidt on bass.

Admission is $16 general, $10 students; free for Jazz Project members. Details: 360-650-1066, jazzproject.org.
