Retired teachers present armchair travelogue about Utah

Bellingham Parks and Recreation Department and Whatcom Museum host George and Maryan Gleason, in a travelogue presentation, “Slot Canyons and Other Hikes in Southwest Utah,” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at Whatcom Museum’s Old City Hall, 121 Prospect St.

The Gleasons are retired teachers who spend their time enjoying various outdoor activities. Each spring they spend several weeks hiking in Utah. Most of their summer is spent whitewater rafting, and bicycle touring takes up part of the fall. They will share pictures from several of their trips into the lesser-traveled slick rock canyons of southwest Utah.
