The Bellingham Music Club’s Nov. 5 and 6 concerts feature different performers.
Cellist Maya Enstad and pianist Mike Edmonson play works by Beethoven, Bach, Brahms, Liszt and Elgar in a free concert at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 119 Texas St. Enstad performs with the Seattle Youth Symphony and is a student at the Seattle Conservatory of Music. She plays on a Carl Zach cello, made in Vienna circa 1896, loaned to her by Carlsen Cello Foundation.
Percussionist Kay Reilly is joined by Lisa McCarthy on flute, Pat Nelson on bassoon and fellow percussionists Jennifer Longstaff, Tanya McAtee, Melanie Sehman, Stephanie Straight, Kenny Cobb, Austen Kahn and Nick Robinson in the club’s monthly “Night Beat” concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Firehouse Performing Arts Center, 1314 Harris Ave. The concert is a “percussion fest” of works for the marimba, hand drums, snare drum and various other instruments.
