Costumed WWU students await trick-or-treaters Nov. 1 at university residences

More than 100 costumed Western Washington University students will host the fifth annual “Halloween on the Ridge,” a safe and fun trick-or-treating event for children of the Bellingham community, from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Ridgeway Complex on Western’s campus. The event will start in the Ridgeway Complex lounge.

Community members and their children can trick-or-treat through the dormitory lounges. Students who live in the Ridgeway dormitories will decorate the main lounges of Beta, Delta, Highland, and Kappa in fun, safe and age-appropriate themes for children 4 to 12.

In past years, more than 300 community members have participated. e event. Groups of trick-or-treaters must have adult escorts. Parking for the event is free.
