Manitoba band Bros. Landreth plays funky country-rock at Bellingham's Green Frog

The Bros. Landreth will play at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at the Green Frog, 1015 N. State St. The four-piece band (two brothers and two of their friends) from Manitoba performs from its latest recording, “Let It Lie,” which has been compared to works by The Band and The Allman Brothers.

Rolling Stone says it’s the “best blues from the North Country,” with a “quiet storm of slide guitar solos, blue notes, three-part harmonies and swagger.” Although their sound is funky and soulful Southern-style country-rock, it also reflects their upbringing on the prairies of Canada.

The Bros. Landreth are on their first U.S. tour. Tickets available at the door.
