Tony Furtado, who has lived primarily on the road the past two decades, plays banjo and slide guitar at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at Conway Muse, 18444 Main St., in Conway.
Now based in Portland, “Golden” is the album Tony has been moving toward his whole career. Having received international attention at a young age for his banjo work, he began his recording career with a 10-year stint with Rounder Records, working with the likes of Allison Krauss, Kelly Joe Phelps and Jerry Douglas. During that time, he was drawn to the slide guitar by such artists as Ry Cooder and David Linley.
