Moscow pianist Vadym Kholodenko will help WWU’s Sanford-Hill Piano Series open 2014-15 season

Moscow pianist Vadym Kholodenko, whose accolades include the recipient of the Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Gold Medal at the 14th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, performs at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at Western Washington University’s Performing Arts Center in the first of this season’s Sanford-Hill Piano Series. He’s now touring the United States, performing over 50 concerts.

He offers a free masterclass, open to the public, at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at the PAC.
