Seattle’s Koon Woon, who was born in China in 1949 and arrived in the U.S. in 1960, won the Josephine Miles Award from Pen Oakland for literary excellence for his first book, “The Truth in Rented Rooms.”
He shares poems from that collection and some of his new works from “Water Chasing Water” at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at Village Books, 1200 11th St.
He’s joined by British Columbia’s Keith Holyoak, who reads from his new volume of poetry, “Foreigner,” in which he creates contemporary poetry in the style of ancient Chinese classics.
