A free screening of “No Talking Allowed,” filmed completely in American Sign Language, is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at South Whatcom Public Library, 8 Barn View Ct., in Sudden Valley, (Gate 2).
The film is about Alex, a frustrated painter, who is looking for a model. Rebecca fits the bill but has trouble following Alex’s strange demand for silence until she begins to understand why silence is a requirement and why she is falling in love.
A discussion of the film will be held afterwards in ASL; coffee and light refreshments will be served.
This film is aimed at adults and students in grades 8 through 12.
