Last show at the Lakehouse, R.I.P

The folks who live at the Lakehouse — the only house, and really the only venue that held regular hardcore shows in Bellingham —decided not to renew their lease this year, holding their last show there Monday. Connecticut’s Signs of Hope opened the night, followed by Serious Black (Bellingham) and Vancouver’s Gravemaker, fresh off their CD release show with Hatebreed the night before. (Note: their willingness to joke about the ridiculousness of playing with Hatebreed made them that much more likeable.) It was only appropriate that Pat, Gravemaker’s merch guy, was completely naked in the pit for an unabashed (and unnerving) five or so minutes. R.I.P Lakehouse.
