• On March 1, 2008, the Lynden Christian High School girls' basketball team finished an undefeated season with a state championship in Yakima.


• On Feb. 16, 2008, the Mount Baker High School girls' wrestling team captured its first state championship in Tacoma.


• On Nov. 17, 2007, the Meridian High School girls' soccer team captured its first state Class 1B/2B/1A championship in Sumner.


• On Nov. 10, 2007, the Sehome High School girls' swimming team captured a Class 2A championship in Federal Way.


• On Nov. 3, 2007, the Sehome High School girls' cross-country team captured its second state Class 2A championship in Pasco.
