By the numbers

The number of acres of land that would be included in the proposed Mountains to Sound Greenway National Heritage Area. That includes 900,000 acres of public land and 1,600 miles of trails. The greenway stretches from Puget Sound to Ellensburg along Interstate 90. The legislation to create the heritage area is working its way through both houses of Congress, as Sentate Bill 2602 and House Resolution 1785. Learn more at
