Nearly 30 teams competed under sunny skies Saturday afternoon in the 2017 Junior Ski to Sea Middle School & Community Race at Lake Padden Park. The relay's legs included running, bicycling and an obstacle course.

About 320 teams competed in the 2016 Ski to Sea Race, a seven-leg, 93-mile adventure relay from Mt. Baker Ski area to Bellingham, Bay, held Sunday, May 29, 2016. Beavers Tree Service won the race, becoming the second Whatcom County division team ever to win the overall title.
