The Bellingham United won their first Western Indoor Soccer League title with an 8-5 win over Olympic in the league championship game on Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Bellingham Sportsplex.
Bellingham jumped on top early with goals from Nick Cashmere, Kurtis Pederson and Richard Henderson. Oscar Jimenez also had a pair of first-half goals to give the United a 5-1 lead at halftime.
Player/coach Brendan Quilici scored a clinching goal in the fourth quarter off an assist from Jimenez.
Bellingham finished the indoor season with an 11-1 record.
