Wacker wins national title at Padden half marathon

Andy Wacker of Colorado won the USATF Padden Trail Half Marathon National Championships at Lake Padden in Bellingham, Wash., on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016. Jared Bassett, 26, of Bend, Ore., was second and David Fuentes, 29, of Austin, Texas, was third. The women’s division winner was Renee Metivier, 34, of Bend, Ore.; Ladia Albertson-Junkans, 30, of Seattle was second; and Julia Webb, 33, of Beaverton, Ore., was third.

Mark Hamilton, a 28-year-old software developer from Seattle, won the 10th annual Bellingham Bay Marathon on Sunday, Sept. 25. Tacomas Jen Edwards, 32, an information technology specialist at University of Washington Medicine, was the top women's finisher.
