After finishing in a three-way tie for fourth place in the NWC 2A standings and ultimately failing to make the postseason for the first time since 2004, Burlington-Edison is getting a little defensive. Lehman is instituting a new defensive scheme that will be more aggressive and feature more blitzing. A crucial piece of that 3-4 scheme will be first-team all-NWC linebacker Tarren Lautenbach.
On offense, the Tigers look to use the quick-strike capabilities of quarterback Dalton Schwetz, who had an injury-riddled 2013 campaign, and Timmie Rush, who rushed for 57 yards on 10 carries and caught four passes for 120 more. Curtis Carlson (319 yards rushing) and Tavian Swanson figure to be the top backs.
