The visiting Sehome Mariners struggled in “every phase of the game” Friday in their 41-6 loss to Lakewood.
First-year Sehome coach Kevin Beason said his team had assignment issues, offensive line issues and turnover issues. However, there was one positive takeaway Beason had from the game.
“The boys didn’t quit,” Beason said. “They kept playing until the end. I appreciate that about them.”
Even with their third loss in as many games, the Mariners are positive they can improve before the season’s end.
Never miss a local story.
“It’s one game in a long season,” Beason said. “We’re going to get better. We’ll start with film Monday and go from there.”
