The three Whatcom County players participating in the Washington State Girls’ Basketball Coaches’ Association All-State game each made contributions Saturday, March 21.
Blaine’s Taylor V’Dovec took part on the winning Class 2A side and scored five points and adding four rebounds and three assists.
On the losing Class 1A side was Lynden Christian’s Sara Dougan and Mount Baker’s Emily Yost. Dougan scored seven points and got seven boards while Yost tallied eight points and a rebound.
The final score was 93-75 in favor of the 2A team. Mark Morris’ Ashley Coons led the 2A team with 19 points and King’s Savanna Hanson led the 1A team with 17 points.
