Unable to get the inside game going, Blaine’s boys’ basketball team fell to Ferndale by a score of 65-44 on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Blaine High.
The Borderites’ Kier Munzanreder finished with 11 points and Shaq Woods added 9. The Golden Eagles’ Austin Honeycutt led the game with 17 points.
“(Ferndale) did a great job taking away the inside game. Turnovers and missed shots led to easy shots for them, which build their lead and it was hard for us to come back from,” Blaine coach Shaun Pile said in a phone interview.
Eric Shaw did a nice job off the bench, Pile noted, as well as John Fakkema’s defensive play for Blaine.
