Lynden Christian’s girls’ basketball team out-rebounded Sedro-Woolley 44-24 in a 61-32 win over the Cubs on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at Sedro-Woolley.
The Lyncs were led by Haley Hollander’s 15 points and six rebounds. Sam Van Loo and Sara Dougan added 11 points each.
“We really buckled down in the second half, we had better energy and communicated better,” Lynden Christian coach Brady Bomber said in a phone interview. “Haley Hollander gave us a ton of energy. She had four offensive rebounds that really sparked us and did a great job.”
Lynden Christian had to overcome a 21-9 foul deficit in the win, though no LC players fouled out.
The Lyncs next game will be against Blaine at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, at Lynden Christian.
