Sehome rallied back with all of its runs in the fifth inning to take a 5-2 Northwest Conference win over Sedro-Woolley on Tuesday, May 5, at Frank Geri Fields.
Rebecca Miksovsky led the Mariners in hitting, going 2 for 3 with a run and a double. Tori McDowell and Gabby Gorosave were both 1 for 3 with a run and a pair of RBI. Gorosave’s hit was a double.
Mallory Kruzich got the win for Sehome.
“Mallory looked really good. She made really just one bad pitch in the first, otherwise she pitched well today,” Sehome coach Jim Emerson said in a phone interview. “She kept the ball down in the zone and their five hits were spread out. Gabby is having a good year hitting the ball. She’s one of the top hitters in the league and is seeing the ball well.”
Sehome plays again at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at Frank Geri Fields against Blaine.
