Carrie Latimer scored the winning run in the eighth inning as Bellingham’s softball team defeated Sedro-Woolley 3-2 on Friday, May 1, at Bellingham High School.
Red Raiders Eliza Rossman earned her eighth win of the season after sriking out 13 batters in the game.
“By far the best game Bellingham has played since I’ve been coaching here,” Bellingham coach Rick Ellis said in a phone interview. “It’s hopefully a signature win for our program. Eliza pitched lights out and kept us in the game.”
Cammy Serena went 2 for 4, Jasmine Midgley went 1 for 3 with an RBI and Julia Latimer went 1 for 4 with a run scored.
Bellingham will take on Burlington-Edison next at 4 p.m. Monday, May 4, at home.
