Nooksack Valley lost to Sedro-Woolley 1-0 after 10 innings of play on Thursday, April 16, at Janicki Fields.
Sedro-Woolley’s pitcher Queen earned the win and didn’t give up a hit in the game. Frizzell went 2 for 4 to lead the Cubs at the plate.
“Both pitchers did very well and were hitting their spots,” Nooksack Valley coach Tom Harmon said in a phone interview. “We had chances in the 9th (inning) and the 10th (inning). We just didn’t take advantage of those opportunities.”
The Pioneers got thrown out at the plate in a bunt play in the top of the ninth inning. Harmon highlighted Arlissa Oettel for her defensive play in the game.
