Three Sehome girls’ track and field athletes won a pair of events in a Northwest Conference meet on Thursday, May 7, at Sedro-Woolley.
Bridget Henry won the 100 and 200 for the Mariners, with times of 12.86 seconds and 26.14 seconds, putting her in the top three times of both events in the NWC. She also was part of the winning 4x100 relay team.
Elsa Sandeno tied with Ferndale’s Kara Collins for first in the 400 with a 1:01.06. Sandeno was also on the 4x100 relay team with Henry, Genevieve Wallace and Ilana Pechthalt. The team won with a 51.23.
The third double winner for Sehome was Chanelle Eddy, who won the shot put with a 37-foot, 2-inch put, and won the discus with a 110-01.
Ferndale’s Paige Devine joined Kara Collins as event winners for the team, with a 49.25 in the 300 hurdles. Gabriella Gould was the other Golden Eagle winner with a 10-00.00 in the pole vault.
