Ferndale’s and Bellingham’s boys’ track and field teams competed at the Shoreline Invitational on Saturday, May 2, at Shoreline Stadium.
Ferndale tied for 17th with 18 team points. Daniel Jones was second in the 200 with a time of 22.31 seconds, less than a tenth of a second off the winner. His teammate Ben Broselle was also second in the javelin with a distance of 174 feet, 3 inches.
For Bellingham, which was tied for 33rd with seven points, Jakob Chamberlin took fifth in the discus. He acheived a distance of 152-09, just 5 feet off the winner. Isaiah White also made the podium with a sixth-place finish in the 100 and a time of 11.01 in the finals. That time was a personal best for White.
