Blaine’s Elle Moore won two throwing events and took second in a third as the Blaine girls’ track and field team competed against Lynden and Nooksack Valley on Thursday, April 16, at Nooksack Valley.
Moore had distances of 32 feet even in the shot put, and 102-11 in the discus. She was second in the javelin.
Lynden’s Alexa Shindruk won the 1,600 with a time of 5 minutes, 24.20 seconds, and tied with Nooksack Valley’s Amy Jo Murphy for the win in the 3,200 with a 13:19.00.
Nooksack Valley also had wins from Michaela Yonkman in the 100 hurdles (16.83), and Kaleiolani Jefferson in the javelin (95-08).
Lynden will take part in the Add It Up Invite on Saturday, April 18, at Franklin Pierce District Stadium in Seattle. Blaine and Nooksack Valley will be at the Eason Invitational on the same day at Snohomish High School.
