Josiah Westbrook won the 100 and was a member of the winning 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams to lead Squalicum’s boys’ track and field team on Thursday, April 2, at Nooksack Valley High School.
Westbrook ran a winning time of 11.53 seconds in the 100, the Storm’s 4x100 relay ran a time of 44.97 and the 4x400 a time of 3:39.50.
Squalicum’s Andrew Napier won the shot put and the discus with a throw of 44 feet, 1 inch and 123-11, respectively. Coleman Schwab won the long jump on a 20-01 mark and the triple jump with a 39-10 mark.
The Lyncs were led by Jack Vander Griend, who won the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles and the high jump. Vander Griend ran a winning time of 17.50 in the 110 hurdles, 44.22 in the 300 hurdles and jumped a mark of 5-08.
Josh Lingbloom won the 1,600 (4:56.80) and the 3,200 (11:38.60) for Lynden Christian.
