Lynden’s boys’ wrestling team was defeated by Sehome 42-27 on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Lynden High School.
The Lions’ Isaac Bueno defeated Kyle Clemenson 14-9 in the 138 weight class and Cole Marlowe (152) pinned Wilson Reavley in 2:31.
“Isaac came out today and had a 14-9 match after being completely exhausted, he showed heart and a desire to win. That was an inspiration right there,” Lynden coach Alan Moore said. “Cole has been hurt with an injured shoulder, but you couldn’t tell. He came out and wrestled hard.”
Lynden and Sehome will both wrestle next at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, in the Northwest Conference Tournament at Sehome.
