Sehome’s boys’ swimming team placed ninth at the Kentridge Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 10, at Kentridge High School.
The Mariners’ Zach Shenkin placed seventh in the 200 freestyle with a new state qualifying time of 1 minute, 48.65 seconds, 11th in the 100 butterfly with a time of 55.54 and led off the 400 freestyle relay with a split of 50.32.
The 200 freestyle relay team composed of Isaiah Grambo, Trevor Nims, Zach Shenkin and Josh Larson dropped its state qualifying time to a 1:32.99.
“We had a good meet overall, a lot of best times tonight,” Sehome coach Don Helling said in a phone interview.
